The RX-8 SPIRIT R is dependant on the RX-8 Type RS (with six-speed stick shift) and Type E (with six-speed digitally-controlled automatic transmission). It’s named following the final special edition Mazda RX-7, which pedigree is reflected in stylish features which include exclusive chair design and colored alloy wheels. Furthermore, Mazda’s curtain and front side SRS airbag system, that is available like a factory-installed option around the base models, is going to be offered as standard equipment. Following a launch, the Mazda RX-8 selection will contain the SPIRIT R and also the Type G (with six-speed digitally-controlled automatic transmission) model grades only.
